Not too long ago, I picked up my first-ever pair of Golden Goose sneakers (you might remember seeing them in a recent post), and have been asked a lot about them ever since. So many that I thought it was time for a full review! Are they true to size?
They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a EU 36.

They required minimal break-in time..
How do they perform over time?
They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they still look great. No glitter has fallen off, and the shape stayed solid. Since the aesthetic is distressed, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
How do they compare to other sneakers?
These are the best sneakers I own. I wear Vejas and Tretons too, but Golden Goose are just on another level. They have a hidden arch lift that adds a little height — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re handmade in small batches, so each pair is custom-feeling. And the sparkle on mine? Absolutely gorgeous.
Would you recommend them?
Totally! Just try not to pay full price. They cost a lot, so getting them on sale is a better idea. They’re worth the investment, especially if you find a style that suits you. I went bold with sparkle, but a low-key version would also go with everything.

Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they still look great. Nothing has torn, and the structure feels strong.
